How to prune Lilly Pillys?

How far up from the ground should I prune the lower branches for Lilly Pillys, also if I want them to grow tall, what do I need to do?

In regards to your question yes, the lower branches must be trimmed to encourage further growth up the stem. In regards to distance, probably not too much as you don't want the hedge to have a gaping space at the bottom.
