Hello.
I had plastering work done on some walls in my flat. What sort of primer do I need to use before painting ? I understand it needs specific preparation.
Thank you.
Hi @Edgar,
Is it a plastered brick wall, or have plaster sheets been installed? For a plastered wall, where plaster was applied to the wall with a trowel, you'd use Dulux 1L PRECISION White Sealer Binder. For a plaster sheet wall, you can use standard Dulux 1Step Prep Primer, Sealer & Undercoat.
Here are some helpful step-by-step guides:
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Mitchell.
I have applied the oil based precision sealer binder. However, where it has contacted the pre-existing paint, that paint is now very sticky. Will it eventually dry, or is this going to be a problem.?
Thank you
Hello @Edgar
According to the print on the can it should dry up in 6 hours and and can be recoated in 24 hours. This of course is subject to temperature and prevailing weather conditions. If it is cold and is raining profusely the drying time might be extended. However, if after 24 hours the paint is still tacky to touch, please let us know.
