How to vent smoke in kitchen?

I want to what’s the easiest way or best way so that kitchen smoke goes out of the unit. 

please see attached picture for reference. 

I know the rangehood is not installed properly as can be seen in picture the smoke exhaust has no where to go.

kindly share the best way to vent out the smoke either in the roof cavity or something else.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about venting your rangehood smoke outside.

Generally speaking, most rangehood units have a top and back vent facility. This means that it can be flued either at the top or back of the unit. The most common vent used is the Pacific Air 150mm Steel Roof Rangehood Venting Kit, it also has the option for a wall vent if that is an easier option for you. But before you purchase any venting kit, I suggest double checking the outlet size of your rangehood as some units come in 125mm and 100mm size.

I recommend engaging the services of a builder to drill through the cabinet and ceiling then mounting the flue kit onto your roof. I don't recommend doing this as a first time D.I.Y project as getting the hole sizes correct and the flue kit properly sealed is critical and any mistake could lead to a water leak in the roof.
