How to fix pittosporum miss muffett yellow leaves?

We are in a new build with garden completed around 6 weeks ago. One of our plants is a Pottisporim Miss Muffet.  We have 2 planted in a raised garden bed. They both have yellow leaves and I’m wondering if this is normal or if there is a problem.  There are other plants in the garden bed all doing ok.

Pittosporum Miss Muffets can have a slight yellow tinge, but this does appear more than normal. 

Yellowing leaves on your Pittosporum 'Miss Muffet' can be caused by various factors, and addressing these issues will help restore the plant’s health. 

Watering is often a key factor; both overwatering and underwatering can lead to yellowing. Overwatering may cause root rot, depriving the roots of oxygen, while underwatering stresses the plant by limiting its access to moisture. To manage this, ensure your soil is well-draining and consider using products like Richgro 5kg Ezi Wet Granulated Soil Soaker, which helps water penetrate more effectively and improves soil drainage.
 

Nutrient deficiencies are another common cause. A lack of nitrogen typically results in older leaves turning yellow. Applying a balanced fertilizer such as Scotts Osmocote All Purpose Controlled Release Fertiliser can help address this issue. 

If the plant is struggling with nutrient uptake due to soil pH, it’s worth testing the soil with a Manutec Garden Care Products Soil PH Test Kit. Pittosporum prefers slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0 to 7.0).
