How to kill and remove an unwanted dracaena marginata plant?

I want to start fresh on the house we just bought. I've used round up on everything I don't want to keep,  however the Dracaena marginata looks unbolted by it. It has spread underground too, some are in-between concrete, therefore I can't dig them up. How can I kill the plant, so they don't spread or continue to grow later?

The ones I can dig up I'll still want to be prevent any unwanted sprouts once I've established my own garden.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about removing your Dracaena Marginata plant.

Dracaena Marginata are very hardy plants, and it's root off cuts can propagate if the conditions are right. I propose using a Mumme 1800mm Pit Bar to dig out the root ball of the plant. The flat blade of the bar is ideal for cutting roots and cracking rocks. Just keep in mind that your goal is to remove the root ball as intact as possible to prevent the plant from regrowing. It's important to get any leftover roots in the soil to prevent regrowth. Any roots you can't get to can be sprayed with Yates 250ml Tree And Blackberry Weed Killer Concentrate.

If the roots are too deep, I propose engaging the services of a garden specialist who can dig out the root ball along with the majority of the roots of the plants. 

Please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves, goggles and a paint rated mask. Please make sure to follow all the safety guidelines printed at the back of the bottle.
