How to finish plaster over brick after tiles have been taken off?

I am renovating hallway, powder room and laundry.  I removed tiles from floor and the row of tiles from the floor up.  I have retiled floor but would prefer to not have a tile from the floor up as previously and have skirting instead.  
I am in WA and the house is double brick and they plaster the walls over the brick.  My question is how do I continue with the plaster as shown in pictures and what product do I use?

Any info would be helpful.

To continue with the plaster over the exposed brick after removing the tiles, you'll need to use hardwall plaster, which is ideal for applying over masonry surfaces like brick. 

First, ensure the exposed brick is clean, free from dust, dirt, and any old adhesive or mortar. You may want to use a bonding agent if the brick is smooth to help the plaster adhere better, following the product's instructions. Then, mix the hardwall plaster to the right consistency, typically smooth and spreadable, using a drill and mixing attachment. Apply the first coat of plaster with a trowel, smoothing it as best as you can. Allow this first coat to dry completely, which usually takes 24-48 hours. Once dry, apply a second, thinner coat of plaster to smooth out any imperfections and give it a polished finish. Let it dry again before sanding and finishing the surface. This process will leave you with a smooth, painted-ready wall, ready for your skirting board installation.
