I want to make this table but I’m unsure what materials to use so they are light enough and also what latch to use

Thanks for sharing your question about what materials you can use for your table. I suggest looking at the Specrite 1200 x 600 x 18mm Timber Multi Use Pine Panel in combination with 42 x 19mm 1.8m DAR Pine Premium. I propose using the Zenith 8G x 15mm Galvanised Button Head Stitching Timber Screws in combination with the Carinya 250 x 115mm White Spring Loaded Folding Bracket.
