How to fix toilet seat mount?

Two ( 2) vertical  mounting pins,- fixed / screwed into the  ceramic, - and onto which the toilet seat is dropped.  

Are these support pins standardised concerning their length and diameter. Or, do these 2  measurements vary with different toilet manufacturers?
