How to deal with water flow from neighbor's property?

I have recently moved at a new property. During heavy rain, water from my back neighbors property comes into my backyard. The water comes from beneath the timber slipper attached to the fence. The neighbor also has swimming pool in the backyard. I spoke with the neighour who confirmed that he has not put any drainage along his back fence. This has created problems for me as the water floods in the backyard and it could potentially flood the house if the rain is continuous. 

Would a concrete returning wall along the back fence plus agg pip help? or would just the agg pipe help? Any advice would be great?

Dealing with water flow from a neighbour’s property can be challenging, but installing an socked agpipe is an effective solution to redirect excess water. 

Start by digging a trench along the back fence line where the water collects. Place the agpipe in the trench, ensuring it is sloped slightly toward the nearest stormwater outlet or drainage point. Cover the pipe with coarse gravel to approximately 30mm below the surrounding soil for effective water flow, then backfill with soil. This system will help collect and transport water away from your backyard, reducing the risk of flooding. 

Consulting a drainage professional may also be beneficial to ensure the best solution for your property’s needs. They'll also be needed for connecting your agpipe to the stormwater.
