How to remove sanding marks on American Oak Kaboodle benchtop?

I’m in the middle of a kitchen install and my builder sanded the kaboodle American oak bench tops today and that has revealed these banded marks across the benchtops.

what do I need to do to remove these? Any chance that they will disappear when I put the Hardwax oil on?🤞 thanks

I've sent your images to the Kaboodle technical team for review and advice on the next steps. The benchtop might only need slightly more sanding to remove the banding.

I’ve heard back from Kaboodle, and they’ve reviewed the images. Based on what they’ve seen, the banding you’re noticing is actually typical of the B-side of the benchtop, which is not finished to the same standard as the A-side (the side that faces up). If the installation instructions were followed correctly, and this is indeed the A-side (as labelled), the banding should not be present, and Kaboodle would be happy to assess further and discuss a warranty replacement.

If this is the B-side and has been installed incorrectly, you would likely need to sand with a coarser grit to remove the banding and then finish with finer grits to smooth the surface. It may also be worth discussing with the builder whether the benchtop was installed in the correct orientation and whether they can assist with resolving the issue.

If this is the A-side, let me know, and we can get the warranty replacement process underway.
