How to maintain buffalo grass?

Hi I  have a ''lawn'' made up of buffalo ''grass''

If you wondering why my grass is on YouTube it is because I tried to document how long does it take for grass to go yellow and how fast does it go green after rain. Now back to the question, as you probably can see  the grass looks like it is made up of weed only. There are a few nice spots in the backyard where it looks ok but for the most part it looks like its made up of weeds. I tried   these weed and feed things where you attach the hose to this bottle which dilutes it with some fertiliser, other than getting super wet it did nothing(last year) What should I do to have some actual grass my kids will be able to play on?

Thank you for your question about maintaining and improving your buffalo grass lawn.

I'm not entirely sure what you're seeing because I see a lawn that is in pretty good condition with a couple of weeds sprinkled throughout. Trust me, my lawn is in far worse condition than this.

Weeds can be removed physically with weeding tools or chemically with buffalo-specific weed killers.
