How to take out and replace inlet valve of a back-to-wall toilet suite?

I have a Seima Modia 191756-A BACK To Wall Toilet Suite. Water does not shut off and then and leaks into the pan after the cistern fills up. I wonder why the inlet valve never shuts off the water coming in - faulty valve or something obstructing. When I pull the lever / float up, still it does not shut water off.

Unlike old simple models, I could not figure out how to twist or move inlet valve to reposition it to check if repositioning works.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes time to replace that valve.

It is hard to get specific parts for toilets brands these days unless your a plumber.

But there are universal toilet fittings that will replace for 90% of tolets etc.

I would turn of thewater and take the whole body of the inlet valve out as would be required and take it to bunnings so you can find a replacment.

If you cant take the valve out then its a job for a plumber.

These days whole new toilets only cost around $300 as a back up idea.

Thank you for your question about your Seima back-to-wall toilet suite.

I can't find specific videos relating to your toilet; however, their website has an installation guide under the downloads tab on the Modia Wall Faced toilet suite product page that will likely help you troubleshoot the issues you are having.

I note that step 4 in the back entry installation guide says to run the flexible hose behind the flush valve, ensuring that the hose does not obstruct the operation of the flush valve. This seems like a good place to start our troubleshooting efforts as the date label in the cistern tells me the toilet is almost brand new.

I can't see in their documentation how the inlet valve is held in place when it is installed in this way. If you try to rotate the inlet valve clockwise, is there any movement at all? Can you see any clips lower down on the inlet valve?

You may need to remove the flush valve in order to rotate and reroute the hose.
