How to stop Spotted Gum decking marking easily?

I have recently had a deck installed at the front and back of the house. It’s spotted gum.

I have oiled it using organoil (1 coat so far, 1 to go). I’ve found that it marks extremely easily, and shows up footprints. Is there something that can be applied that will stop this?

Hi @JoB166,

As Organoil isn't a product stocked at Bunnings, it is going to be difficult for our resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts to assist. I assume you have followed the product's directions carefully. When were you planning to apply the second coat, as it might be premature to assess the results until then.  

Otherwise, would you consider removing it and choosing an alternative coating? Our team would be happy to recommend an alternative.
