How to fix a misaligned pool fence glass panel?

The pool panel got damaged from a resent gust of wind and the umbrella crashed into the panel. Subsequently it now loose and not in line with existing panels. I have tightened the screws at the bottom of the panel but it is still misaligned. Any suggestions?

Yes some of those gusts where heavy.

I would have some one hold the glass back in place maybe 30mm to the other side and try retighten the bottom bracket again.

If the bracket screws are damaged or stripped you will need a new bracket as that glass needs a lot of support.

If you have a new identical bracket you might be able to use the clamping hard ware out of it to fix your current bracket without having to completely replace it.

Also check and tighten the other bracket out of camera view if you haven't already.

Maybe rubber/plastic timber packers could be used if the clamp mechanism is beyond repair.

Just a friendly reminder that working with heavy duty tempered glass is dangerous. An accidental hit with a tool or too much force applied could shatter the glass and cause injury.

I recommend getting a professional trades person to repair your pool fence. Due to the fall of your umbrella the holding posts at the bottom have deformed and is now holding the panel sideways under pressure. If it is disassembled incorrectly there is a possibility that it could break and shatter.

If you were to handle the glass, please make sure to wear personal protection such as thick heavy gloves and goggles.
