Can you use timber doors for an outdoor kitchen?

Hi team, I've noticed a lot of people use recycled wood for the doors enclosing the gas bottle and I love the look. Is this okay to do being close to the gas bottle? I'm hoping so as I've fallen in love with the idea and ideally don't want to use metal doors. Thank you! Martha

Using recycled wood for doors in an outdoor kitchen can work beautifully, but the design in your photo makes me nervous. Not because of timber's combustibility, but because there is no ventilation.

I can't see any ventilation installed on these cabinets, meaning in the event of a leak, gas can build up inside the cabinet which has the potential to cause explosive results.

I imagine what you are hoping to do is possible, but I'd strongly suggest consulting with a licenced gas plumber for their advice.
