How to add backyard drainage?

Hi, i need some suggestions regarding drainage in this area.

i have just bought this unit and have noticed they have paved the entire area and only drainage is were the plants are along & at back fence’s. there is downpipes on both ends of the building for stormwater and 1 down pipe going into the garden for the pergola.

so water has nowhere to drain especially at the end were the garden shed is and other end were deck lounge is…

can you give any suggestions?.

the only ground opening for stormwater is around the corner which I’ve highlighted in photo.

I would run a socked 65mm AG line around the water prone areas just under you pavers.

Lift you pavers neatly and lay the Smaller Ag line(smaller then 1 paver width) into the 100mm deep trench you make lay the pipe and re bury as you go adding to original sand fill on top of the Ag line Tape the pavers down level to other pavers with a white rubber hammer (black ones can leave marks)

Take the Ag pipe to the storm water house down pipes and connect there on the lowest point if the the area slopes at all.

Honestly if that Ag lines fills halfy or full with water water will flow because water will always find a way towards the storm water exit even if laid flat.

Any residual water will drain into the ground undeneath.

There are several AG line products you will need to select that best suits your are or more than one at need,

Can you confirm that the downpipes in this space are discharging into the garden and are not connected to a stormwater outlet?

If this is the case, the first thing I'd suggest is having a plumber come to connect the downpipes to the stormwater outlet. If they are discharging into the gardens, once the soil becomes waterlogged, excess water will just spill over to the pavers. If this water can be directed to the stormwater outlet, then this would not occur. Luckily with pavers, they can be lifted to dig a trench and then reinstated with minimal harm.

Is it possible to get some photos with the locations where the water accumulating circled?

I imagine agi pipe, as @Jewelleryrescue has mentioned will be a good solution, that can also be plumbed to the stormwater outlet with the assistance of a plumber.

If there are spots where water is pooling, a soak well in that location might be a good, easy-to-install option. These Novaplas Drainwell DIY Soakwell With Geo Cloth can be installed in the location where water is pooling and then filled with drainage gravel. This will create a spot where water will naturally flow, drain through the stones to a lower point and dissipate into the earth.

You have a few options, but understanding where the water runs will dictate the best method of dealing with it. If you can provide details about where the water predominantly runs, I'd be happy to advise further.

The suggestions about the stormwater that @JacobZ has mentioned are the ones I would also suggest. Making sure the downpipes are carrying the water away and access to the stormwater pipe yourself /plumber is the next steps. A plumber will be able to give you recomendations on what can be done.

I like the idea of a hard pvc pipe under the pavers (surrounded by gravel) with a couple of drain grills along the length. This then feeds to the stormwater pipe. This will remove any standing water on your pavers. Id also slope your pavers to the drain grills slightly.
