How to paint a clay brick driveway?

Hi team,

I have clay bricks on my driveway and would like to give them a fresh look by painting. My questions are:

Can I paint over the clay bricks?
Is it possible to drive over the bricks after painting?
Will painting the clay bricks create a slippery surface?

Yes you can paint over bricks and pavers with specialty paint made for driving on .

Prep is to high pressure washer your pavers.

I like a paint brand called NuTech paint so google them and look at their concrete driveway range of solutions I will be using this paint ASAP

I wish bunnings stocked this paint.

Yes, you can paint over clay bricks, and it's a great way to give your driveway a fresh and updated look. For this purpose, Berger Jet Dry Heavy Duty Paving Paint is an excellent choice. It’s designed specifically for driveways and paved surfaces, providing a durable finish that can withstand vehicle traffic.

Once applied, the paint itself won’t make the surface overly slippery. However, if you're concerned about grip, you can add an anti-slip additive like Berger Jet Dry 300g Clear True Grip to the paint. This will enhance traction and make the surface safer, especially in wet conditions.
