How to repair chips in toilet bowl?

I’ve noticed there are some chips in the toilet bowl, presumably from something metal being banged around or something being dropped in there. They’re below the waterline. 
Does this have to be repaired from an integrity standpoint or is it purely cosmetic? And can it be repaired or is it easier to replace the bowl?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kw-alexandria. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a toilet bowl.

The chips in your toilet bowl have compromised the glazed surface, exposing the ceramic material beneath. While this does mean the non-porous coating is no longer intact and a small amount of water might be absorbed into the ceramic, it’s typically not a cause for concern from an integrity standpoint. The issue is primarily cosmetic.

To address this, I recommend draining the bowl and allowing it to dry for at least 24 hours to ensure the ceramic is fully dry. Once ready, you can use Rust-Oleum 13.3ml White Tub And Tile Touch Up Kit to seal the exposed areas. This will not only improve the appearance but also protect the ceramic. Allow at least another 24 hours before refilling the bowl. Whilst this product is not designed for permanent water immersion, it should do the job.
