Hello
Just bought a roller blind and a Ryobi one drill driver starter kit. Never used a drill before but charged it up (only to 3 bars though) and tried to use a 2 mm drill bit to drill into the window architrave for the pilot hole. I was unable to get the 10 piece drill bit set as the guy there couldn't find it - so I just bought the 2 mm bit. The drill bit barely penetrated. I then used the bigger drill bit which came with the drill and still no change. I thought maybe the architrave had a dead bit of wood and tried it on a bit of softer wood but still no penetration. It seemed that the drill just had no power. I tried it on various settings - 20, then around 10 then 1 then on drill. None of these made a difference. I then thought perhaps the 3 bars hadn't actually charged the drill enough so I went to recharge again just now. I plugged the charger in and a red light flashed on and 3 bars lit up but then when the light changed to green all bar lights went off. It's still like that now. Is this just a faulty charger or did I so something wrong in using the drill with only 3 bars charged initially? You can press a button on the charger to show the lights but as soon as you release the battery bar lights go out again.
Very disappointed at the wasted time of all this.
After plugging in
