This is a great way to hide those ugly food containers and allow your puppers to eat a comfortable height. With all materials easily sourced at Bunnings, this is a fun little build and an easy way to update your outdoor area.
Steps
Step 1
Using the pine timber lengths and 30mm timber screws, create a basic frame to hold all of the components. My frame was just under 1.2m long to ensure everything fit inside.
Step 2
Using the same timber and screws, next build two additional frames to house the pet food containers.
Step 3
Use the table saw to cut your VJ Panel to suit the sides of your feeder. Ensure you also add paneling on the edges of the food storage itself. Secure this to the frame using the 20mm timber screws.
Step 4
Using the Gloss Paint Wall Putty, patch all of the screw holes and allow to dry overnight.
Step 5
Using the disc sander, sand all the panels to ensure all of the faces are smooth to touch.
Step 6
Measure and cut your two dog bowl panels. Use your current bowl as a stencil and then carefully cut out using the jigsaw.
Step 7
Measure and cut out the sections for the lid. Glue these together using the exterior wood glue. Clamps are a must have for this as they will keep everything square.
Step 8
Paint and Varnish all components separately.
Step 9
Combine all components by securing the lid with rear facing hinges and screw upward through the frame for the dog bowl holders.
Step 10
Add your bowls and storage containers.
