Can Kaboodle cabinets be cut to size at Bunnings store?

Hi team

can Kaboodle walll cabinets be cut to size at a Bunnings store?

the standard sizes of cabinets just don’t fit in the space I have and I’d rather not use a large filler panel and then have smaller cupboard.
If I purchase the slightly bigger cabinet, can it be cut down as needed to fit in my space.

i really don’t have time to wait for a custom sized cabinet to get made..

I know bunnings stores can cut regular panels down to smaller sizes as needed..

but can they do the cabinets too, if I measure and work out the pieces that need to be cut and the sizes they need to be?

the space is 670mm wide and the cabinets available are either 600 or 800.

(I know a cabinet not of standard size will be difficult to get doors for, but this isn’t going to be a problem)

Unfortunately only specific materials are allowed to be cut in-store and flatpack/Kaboodle cabinets are not on the list. It might be worth trying your local men's/women's shed as they may have a table saw you could use or they may have someone who could use it for you if using a cabinet maker is not in your budget.

@twocutekelpies is on the mark there, and we are only able to cut panel products and not parts of cabinetry.

Bear in mind that you would need to cut down the top, bottom and back panels and get custom doors to suit. That appears to be a significant amount of work to achieve the additional 70mm.

Yes I am already aware of which pieces would need to be cut for the whole cabinet to be the preferred size..

As already mentioned, doors aren’t an issue.. this cabinet doesn’t need doors. However if I did need doors, I would get custom doors anyway as the Kaboodle doors aren’t exactly what I’m looking for (why doesn’t Kaboodle have options for integrated handles?)

what do you suggest as a better solution to get a cabinet the correct size? I don’t fancy using filler panels, as already mentioned. It just takes away space and I don’t like how they look (and why is almost everything except ‘gloss white’ a special order?)

I'm not entirely sure as to why Kaboodle does not produce integrated handle doors.

For a custom-sized cabinet, it would typically need to be made to order, but as you've mentioned, that's not an option. You could either customise an 800mm cabinet by cutting it down yourself or, if it's just the carcass you are after, create the shelving from scratch with melamine panels.

Due to Kaboodle having over 50 colours and finishes in their cabinet door range, due to size restrictions, it wouldn't be possible for us to keep them all in stock. However, I'm more than happy to pass on your feedback to our merchandise team.
