What double-sided tape for rear window car visor?

Hi - after 30 years the double-sided tape attaching the rear window shade visor on an old Camry gave up the ghost this week.

It detached from the glass window but the tape is still very attached to the plastic visor.

What would be the best tape to fix this job. I'll need 1.5m in length and up to 15mmm in width.

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

I'd suggest using this Scotch-Mount Extreme Double-Sided Mounting Tape 2.5cm x 1.5m.

It is part of 3M's "Extreme" range which uses their VHB (very-high-bond) technology. It is heat resistant, extremely sticky and will be perfect for this job.

Just make sure to clean all surfaces with Isopropyl Alcohol before applying the tape to ensure the best bond possible.
