How can i fix rendered foam mouldings?

Hi I am looking for advice on how to fix this.

They are foam mouldings and I believe when the concrete was acid washed some must of got on them and caused the foam to shrink.

was thinking of using  painters putty to get the shape and then render over it with Coventry course in the appropriate colour

If the moulding is solid and stable, you should be able to repair it effectively.

Start by cleaning the damaged area thoroughly to remove any loose particles or residue. Once the surface is clean and dry, you can fill the damaged sections with an external filler like Nordsjo Professional 1L Exterior Super Filler. This product is designed for outdoor use and can provide a durable, smooth base for further treatment.

After the filler has dried, sand it down gently to blend with the surrounding area and restore the shape of the trim. Once the surface is even, apply a coat of render. Make sure to feather the edges of the render to create a seamless transition between the repaired and existing areas.

For best results, use a high-quality paint over the repaired area to protect it from future damage and ensure a long-lasting finish. 

If the foam is soft or deteriorating, it may be worth considering replacing the damaged sections to maintain the integrity of the mouldings.
