How to revive lawn struggling in hot weather?

The photos show my front lawn which was nice and green a few weeks ago, but has turned almost entirely brown during the hot weather.

Can anyone tell me if the lawn is burnt from the heat or if it is due to a disease such as brown patch?

Is it completely dead or can it be revived?

What is the best way to treat this problem?
