Can i replace gravel with artificial grass?

Hi

I have moved into a house with a small weird area by the side of the house that has the water tank and clothes line. The ground is covered in rocks which I want to get rid of. Do the rock serve any functional purpose or can I have them removed and replace them with fake grass?

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

The rocks do serve a functional purpose in the sense that they create a ground covering which will help suppress weeds and make the area look nicer, but the same can be said for artificial grass.

There is no reason you can't remove the rocks and replace them with artificial grass.
