Hi, I've recently installed an outdoor kitchen onto what was a rendered block wall with tiled splashback to 600mm above the kitchen bench height. I'd like to cover the remaining 1.45m high x 3.8m wide masonry section of the wall above the splashback tiles to the ceiling with painted outdoor cladding to create a feature wall above the BBQ / ODK tiled area. I was thinking James Hardie Axon outdoor cladding or similar but JH has advised that these need to be secured to battens on the outside of the block wall which would mean that the the cladded section of the wall would protrude out above the tiles by the thickness of the battens. Can anyone suggest a suitable outdoor cladding that can be fastened and/or glued directly to the masonry wall so as minimise the height the cladding will protrude from the wall?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Notes:
Planning to install an outdoor rangehood above the BBQ once the feature wall is in place
Would prefer not to use more tiles above the existing splashback
