Do you have any ideas on how to just cover over these wires that run to the fan. Is there something I can put over like a cover?

In the interest of health and safety, I suggest engaging the services of a licensed electrician to correct that cable installation. It appears that whoever installed this wire tried to avoid a noggin in the wall instead of drilling though it.
