How to get gazebo post anchors level?

Hello. I am hoping to install a fixed timber gazebo. I intend to use post anchors set in concrete, since there is no existing concrete slab and the area is subject to water after rain. I am wondering how to get the four post anchors level (i.e. in height respective to each other), given they will be around 3.5m and 4.5m apart? I can use string to layout the base but that's a long distance to try get all four level. Thanks for any pointers.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Voltaire. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about levelling post anchors.

5 metres or even more is typically well within the capabilities of using builders line and a line level to get your anchors at the correct height. I suggest using timber stakes at the desired locations and tying the string tightly between them. Pop the line level on the string and adjust the line so it's level. You can continue this process to establish the height on all four post anchors.

Alternatively, you might like to use a laser level. Just be aware that they work best when not used in direct sunlight.
