How to build timber shelving for storage tubs?

I've seen these shelving units all over Facebook and would love to make one for my 55L storage tubs, but all the plans I've read use American sizes of timber and im not sure what would be good for Australia.

Is anyone able to give me some advice / links to the perfect dimensions. I can work out the plan, but not what timber to use.

It would be all open, I can't use MDF shelving due to costs.

So just framing and then the brackets that the bin edges lie on. It will be sitting on the floor.

Thank you for your question.

It looks like there are two different profiles of untreated pine used here, a framing timber such as 70x35 for the outside frame, and the cleats that the storage bins sit on are what we refer to in Australia and New Zealand as battens. 

As timber suppliers are different from region to region, I can't point you towards a specific timber, but our timberyards often carry 42x35 untreated pine which is often referred to as a ceiling batten. If you head in-store and speak with the team in the timberyard, I'm sure they'll be able to point you in the right direction.

If these ceiling battens are unavailable, Porta 42 x 42mm 2.4m DAR Square General Purpose Pine is similar.
