I would like to attempt this framing for my wall. What timber do you suggest I use?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Rangachew. It's amazing to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing trim work on a wall.

I'd recommend you consider using 92 x 18mm 5.4m Moulding White Pine FJ Primed PR4 or 66 x 11mm 5.4m Moulding White Pine FJ Primed DAR for a lower profile. These timber come pre-primed and are free from defects, making it easier to get good fitment with minimal gaps.

I'd also recommend you invest in at least a budget-freindly compound mitre saw as getting clean straight cuts is quite important.
