How to fix reo mesh to the inside face of a timber post?

I've set 2 x 75x100 H4 pine posts into a garden bed in front of the house, roughly 2430mm apart. Originally the plan was to fix some timber lattice to the front of the posts for a screen and plant some native climbers below to cover it. 

We decided we like the rustic look of a reo mesh screen instead. I plan to buy this reo mesh https://www.bunnings.com.au/arc-6mm-x-3-x-2-4m-reinforcing-mesh-ribbed-sheet_p1100434 and cut it down so that it's about 2m high and secure it about 300mm off the ground.

In order to make it look neat, I'd rather secure it to the inside of the posts, and this would suit the distance between the posts and the width of the reo mesh. 

What would be the best way to secure the reo mesh to the inside face of the posts? Hope this all makes sense

Attaching the reo-mesh to the inside of the post will require you to attach a piece of timber to the posts and then attach the reo-mesh to that timber.

You could use a piece of 42 x 42mm Pine Primed H3 LOSP on each side of the opening. It can be screwed to the posts with 75mm Galvanised Countersunk Rib Head Timber Screws at roughly 300mm intervals along the full height of the post.

You can then use staple nails such as these Paslode 30 x 4mm 500g Galvanised Staple Nails to attach the re-mesh to the 42x42 timber. You'll want to use one on every available piece of reinforcement that touches the timber to ensure the best possible hold.
