How to cut live edge plank cut to size?

Hi,

I know Bunnings does cut to size for already square pieces purchased in store. I have a live edge table that isn't getting much use and I want to cut the piece in half (thickness wise) and half (length wise) to use for some floating shelves. It's the thickness cut I am not sure about. Does anyone know if thats possible at Bunnings given the edging? Is the service only for products bought in store? What is the rough pricing?

Unfortunately, our cutting service is only available for products purchased in-store.

If you are looking to cut your live edge table, you would have to do it yourself using a technique similar to that used in How To Cut Laminate Benchtop.

If you would like to give it a go yourself and you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Apologies, I misunderstood what you meant by cutting it in half thickness-wise.

This is a very difficult cut to make, and it is likely something you would need a sawmill to do safely. You might like to see if any sawmills near you could assist.
