Can i install hybrid without removing existing skirting?

Hi team, our place has existing skirting board and we’ve removed tiles and carpets to make room for hybrid floorboard. I bought matching colour scortia to the floorboard. However, I quite like it if we don’t use the scortia. How can I have hybrid floorboards installed without removing skirting board and still look nice? Thanks

I pondered this for my own place. Lay your new floor then you might use 1/4 round timber (Quad that fits into the corner and creates a new mini skirting board edge) to cover any floor to the wall imperfections if they occur.

Or use anything else as a new skirting as is its only function is to hide floor to wall imperfections as a rule.

I'm afraid the only way to cover the gap is to use a timber trim or scotia. Removing the skirting board is of course another choice, but other than that there are no other alternatives to cover the gap.

To quickly cover the gap, I suggest going with @Jewelleryrescue's suggestion and use PermaTimber 19 x 19mm 2.7m Antique White PVC Quad. It is an excellent way to cover the gap between the skirting board and your hybrid flooring. My best advice is to make sure that you put in the proper gap between your skirting board and flooring which is 10mm.

Thanks @Jewelleryrescue and @EricL , sounds like I can’t not use something to hide the gap. I might just have to go with the scortia that I’ve already bought then. The skirting while still in good quality is not 100% white so while I like white on white, I’d need to paint the skirting board more white for the quad. Thanks for your advice!
