How to replace grout in outdoor tiles?

Hey everyone,

 

I’ve noticed that one of my outdoor tiles has started to move slightly, likely due to the house shifting over time. Below this area, there’s a room, and the upstairs adjacent section is also covered in tiles. I previously used Crommelin sealant, but I’m now looking for a strong grout recommendation that can handle slight movement while keeping the tiles secure.

 

Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Any recommendations for a flexible but durable grout that works well for outdoor settings?

My suggestion is to use epoxy grout such as this Dunlop 3.25kg Slate Grey Easy Clean Epoxy Grout.

Epoxy grout is an excellent choice for outdoor applications due to its durability, water resistance, and resistance to staining and cracking. This makes it particularly well-suited for outdoor environments, where exposure to rain, temperature fluctuations, and UV rays can cause standard grout to deteriorate over time.

Another key reason to use epoxy grout outdoors is its strength and flexibility, which help it withstand movement caused by temperature changes and ground shifting. Traditional grout can crack over time, like you are seeing, due to expansion and contraction, whereas epoxy grout remains intact, making it a long-lasting solution for outdoor tiling projects.
