How to fill gap between fence and sleepers?

I have a gap between my fence and the timber sleepers in my backyard. I’m looking for the best way to fill or cover this space to improve the appearance and prevent debris buildup.

Note that the area is too deep to fill and soil is not an option as this is a retaining wall.

There isn’t enough space to add another sleeper, so I’m considering other options like gravel, timber fascia, or some kind of edging. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? What worked best for you?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your fence gap.

It appears that your builder has used a bit of the decking panel on the top of your retaining wall as a finishing cover. I suggest removing this cover and modifying it by adding another panel next to it. Once the modification is complete this new wide cover should be big enough to cover the gap between the fence and the retaining wall.

I don't recommend filling the gap with anything as this will become a moisture trap and will damage both the Colorbond fence and your retaining wall. My best advice would be to keep it clear and just cover it from above.
