Kitchen dresser upcycle - A little paint makes a lot of difference

Another finish in the ongoing kitchen project. The left side is the original built in dresser in this 1935 cottage with the right side added about 24 years ago for more storage. As much as I’ve loved the sunny yellow, it was time to try another colour and I chose Dulux Silvergrass in semi gloss. It changes through the day with the light from green grey to blue and I think has really dressed up the dresser. 

Materials

Selleys Sugar Soap 

Taubmans 3in1 primer sealer undercoat Dulux 2l semigloss 

Tools

120 and 180 white Sandpaper 

brushes from Bunnings paint section including a sample pot brush for edges next to glass 

old scrubbing brush and basin

Steps

Step 1

thoroughly cleaned with sugar soap, when dry, sanded with 120 then 180grit sandpaper, washed again. 
applied undercoat with a brush then 2 topcoats. 

had a cup of coffee and ticked this one off the list!

Thank you very much for sharing your dresser revamp. The Dulux Silvergrass has definitely given it a refreshing new look, but it's kept its charm despite the new colour. It is a difficult thing to do when choosing a new colour.
