How to repair floorboards after removing wall?

Hi there, I recently pulled down a wall that was cutting off the kitchen from the rest of the living room and it looks great now there's an L shaped hole in my pine floorboards. I am planning on sanding back and revarnishing the existing tongue and groove floorboards but I'm wondering how to go about fixing it. I would rather not have to pull up more floorboards and I don't need it to look perfect - would even be open to having a board run perpendicular to the others if that was easier. Thanks in advance,

Can you advise what the width and thickness of your current floorboards are and the rough dimensions of the opening?

Ideally, you would match the dimensions of your floorboards with a tongue and groove flooring product of the same size, then cut and fit them into the hole. Once the concrete has been sufficiently cleaned, they could be glued down using Sika SikaBond 600ml Adhesive Timber Flooring.

Otherwise, you could use a DAR Pine product of a similar size to act like a floorboard, or you could cut a piece of plywood to the shape, then glue it in place.

Any of these approaches will work, but with varying degrees of subtlety. It depends on how willing you are to accept the difference in appearance.
