How to paint powdercoated windows and sliding doors?

Hi,

I’m looking to repaint my powder coated windows and sliding doors. The current paint is in perfect condition with no chips or flakes. I’m just wanting to change the colour. I’m anticipating a spray application will give the best finish. 
if you could suggest what I need to do in preparation and what type paint to achieve a textured finish to match the new doors that are a textured finish.

To repaint your powder-coated windows and sliding doors, you'll want to start by lightly sanding and de-glossing the surface using 240-grit sandpaper. This will help the primer adhere properly. Even though the existing finish is in good condition, this step is essential to ensure a long-lasting result.

Once sanded, you can apply Dulux 300g Metalshield Etch Primer Spraypak in Light Grey. This primer is designed specifically for painted metal surfaces and will provide a strong base for your topcoat. After the primer has dried, follow up with Dulux 300g Metalshield Hammered Finish Spray Paint. This product gives a textured, hammered look that may closely match the finish on your new doors.

I'd suggest testing the hammered finish paint on a timber board/cardboard first to make sure it matches the textured finish you're aiming for.
