How can I improve jagged tile edge in shower niche?

Hi everyone,

 

We’ve recently moved into a new build, and one of our shower niches has an uneven look due to jagged tile cuts along the edge. The tiler used vertical tiles, and where the wall indents for the niche, the cut tile edges are a bit rough and noticeable. The area is caulked with white silicone, but it doesn’t hide the unevenness very well (see photos below).

Since the tiles are already laid, we’re looking for advice on how to improve the look without removing tiles. Ideally, we’d love a cleaner, more polished finish that’s still suitable for a wet area.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @briantran12. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about tiling trim.

It looks like something similar to the QEP 8mm x 2.5m White Tile Trim should have been installed. It would be odd not to corner trim standard tiles, and with these wavy tiles, it doesn't add to a clean finish. At the moment, I can only see an external trim as an option. You could use wet area silicone to glue a QEP 14mm x 2.5m White Angle Tile Trim over the corner, concealing it entirely.
