How to hang 15kg mirror into studs?

G'day. I have a 14kg mirror 80cm x120cm. I want to hang in corridor facing front door. What is the best way to ensure safety and knowing it won't come off wall stud? Should I secure with two anchors or one? What is the best anchor/s I can purchase at Bunnings. Thank you. Stephen

Thank you for your question.

The best way to ensure strong support is to locate two studs using a stud finder and screw the mirror to those studs. As studs are spaced at either 450 or 600mm, you should be able to locate two studs. Check out How to use a stud finder for some further information.

A timber screw with some good length such as these 50mm Timber Screws will work well.

You should use a minimum of two screws.
