How to fix broken floor tiles from new toilet installation?

  I bought a toilet from bunnings and had it installed about a year ago. The tiles were broken to get the old toilet out. 

I've put up with it for a year but wanting to get it fixed without having to spend a small fortune.

Should I go down the road of getting another wider based toilet to cover it up or somehow retile the area? Or should I just get the floor retiled or PVC panels laid down? Is there a cost effective solution?

Welcome to the Bunnings workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your tiled floor.

I believe the cost-effective solution would be to retile the toilet floor. There will be no need to get a new toilet or to call the plumber in. For example, a box of Duratile 30 x 60cm Terrazzo Bianco Porcelain Floor Tile - Carton 6 will cost you $30.24. You'll conservatively need two boxes to cover the floor of a standard toilet. If you add the adhesive such as the Dunlop 20kg Rubber Modified Tile Adhesive $34.80 along with the tools and accessories, you could set a budget of $200.00 for the whole project. 

This would technically be more affordable than getting a new toilet and plumber to come into your home.
