How to repair dent in laminate edge of cupboard?

We have a cupboard in our laundry that has had the laminate edge dented (not sure how, but I'm guessing one of the kids smacked something against it). It's a glossy surface, and I was just looking for the best way to make it less obvious, so was thinking to fill it with something and then put a small amount of gloss paint just on the spot to make it blend in as much as possible. I do have a touch up paint for whitegoods (glossy white), so I wondered if that would work ok to touch up the surface after filling, although it is intended for metal surfaces.

The laminate edge has also been pushed out a tad as a result of the bump, so it's not quite flush with the side, but I don't think there's much I could do about that.

Any suggestions welcome. See the images attached.

I think it's important to bear in mind that whatever we do, we don't make the mark more visible. You could attempt to reduce the outward edge by placing a cloth over the area and then a piece of timber over the dent. A sharp and light blow with a hammer on the timber might reduce the bulge.

The touch-up pen you have could be a good option, and there's likely not much else you could use for the repair. Though it's likely not going to have the same high-gloss finish as the cabinet, colouring the area white is probably going to disguise it sufficiently. You'll know where it is, so for the next few months, it will still be visible. But as long as it is a close match, you'll likely soon forget about it. 

The other thing you could try is white gloss nail polish. That would allow you to build up layers slowly until you've filled the missing section.
