How to replace cupboard hinges?

Had some great tips here in the past, and I'm back again with another issue.

We obviously screwed up our measurements here, with the outer ring of the washing machine door coming out just past the cupboard space.

I've already adjusted the hinges to come out as far as possible so was thinking of buying hinges that have maybe a 0.5 to 1cm more length to allow the cupboard doors to close plush

How do I determine which hinges I already have and which ones to buy? Is that the best move?

Hi @rosharch,

From your image, it appears that you would need at least 10mm, if not far more, to get the doors to close properly. Hinges only have a slight adjustment to them for alignment purposes, and I'm not aware of any that would give you an additional 10mm on top of their adjustment.

You'd need to remove the sections attached to the side wall of the unit and bring them out the required distance.

Thanks @MitchellMc . That was going to be my next move if I couldn't find the right hinges (which now I realise wouldn't make sense). Appreciate your input and clear instructions!

Yep... bring it forward.

Work out the distance and then hopefully you can remove the door leaving only the carcass mounting plate which is the thing you want to bring forward.

Look for a catch on the carcass hinge side that you can press on with the tip of a screwdriver to release the door but maybe not... that looks like a older hinge set without the release/split feature.
