Hi,
I have a section of the bathroom wall next to the shower that started peeling. I ripped off the paint and it looks like some of the top layer of the wall sheet has come off as well.
I also noticed that there are small hairline cracks in the paint where it appears two wall sheets join horizontally. This is in several spots around the bathroom (all at the same height).
I've upgraded the exhaust fan and told my kids to start using it every time just in case this is moisture related.
I have left this exposed for over a month and it doesn't appear to be any worse. The wall with the large peeled section sits right next to the shower cubicle. The backside of this wall (backs on to the hallway) doesn't show any signs of water damage directly behind the shower or down near the skirting boards.
- What is the best way to approach a home repair for this or is there something more sinister going on?
Thanks in advance, Adam.
