We were required to plant these bushes by the Council. They are difficult to trim with most tools, I can do it a bit with garden shears but it's laborious and we have many of these on our property. I have most of the Ryobi 18 volt tools and am thinking about buying the 18 volt hedge trimmer with the hope that it will make this trimming task easier. These glass blades on these plants are quite sharp which only adds to the difficulty. Not even sure what this plant is called.
