How to kill ivy growing onto our side of a boundary?

Hi all, we have a neighbour that grows ivy right up their fence which borders our property, which ends up attaching to our render and comes around to our garden. We've asked politely if they can remove it, or at least keep it on their side, but they don't care.

Is there a herbicide that we can spray on the ivy growing into our side that can keep it from growing - i.e. killing what we can see? Ok, if we have to spray regularly to keep it out.

To manage the ivy encroaching on your side, you can apply a herbicide to the visible growth. While this won't eliminate the ivy at its root source on your neighbour's side, regular application can help control its spread into your garden.​

A suitable product for this purpose is the Roundup 1.2L Fast Ready To Use Weedkiller, available at Bunnings. This herbicide is non-selective and is designed to tackle hard-to-kill weeds, including English ivy. It's a ready-to-use solution, so you can apply it directly to the ivy without the need for dilution. For best results, spray the herbicide onto the ivy leaves, ensuring thorough coverage. It's most effective when applied during active growth periods and in dry weather conditions. You may need to reapply the herbicide periodically to manage new growth. 

Please be advised that as this is a non-selective herbicide, it will affect and potentially kill any plant material it comes into contact with.​
 

If you prefer a more targeted approach, the Yates Zero Weeding Herbicide Applicator Brush can be a useful tool. This applicator allows you to apply the herbicide directly onto the ivy leaves, minimizing the risk of affecting nearby plants.
