How to mount flatpack laundry cabinets to wall?

I'm planning to purchase the Practa 1000mm Melamine Wall Cabinet for my laundry to add some overhead storage. Before I proceed, I'd appreciate some guidance on the best practices for mounting it securely.​

Project Details:

• Wall Type: Solid brick wall

• Tools Available:  drill, spirit level, and basic hand tools.

• Mounting Location: Above the laundry trough.

Questions:

1. Fixings: What type of wall plugs and screws are recommended for brick walls to ensure a secure hold?

2. Mounting Method: Should I use a wood panel to mount it, or is it sufficient to mount directly through the back panel into the wall?

3. Height Placement: Is there a standard or recommended height above the benchtop or trough for mounting such cabinets?

4. Installation Tips: Any advice on making the installation process smoother, especially when it comes to leveling and securing the cabinet? Thanks ​

Thanks for sharing your question about mounting your wall cabinet. I suggest having a look at this discussion - How to mount Flatpax cabinet to brick? by @dan_. If you are mounting more than one wall cabinet using a timber strip on the wall will make it easier to line up the cabinets. The standard gap between your benchtop and the bottom of your wall cabinet is 600mm. This gap is often used in kitchens and laundries, but if you wish to lower the wall cabinet just remember to keep the door opening space in mind. You wouldn't want wall cabinet doors hitting you in the head every time you open it. 

In the discussion I suggested using the following parts - Ramset 7 x 50mm Green Wall Plugs combined with Zenith 10G x 60mm Zinc Plated Hinge-Long Thread Timber Screws - 50 Pack. I recommend a minimum of six screws to a maximum of nine screws evenly spaced and spread out on the back panel of the cabinet. You can also look at using Ramset 10 x 75mm DynaBolt Plus Hex Nut Bolts to anchor the cabinet to the brick wall.

My best advice is to drill pilot holes in the wall cabinet and always have a second set of hands to help you lift the cabinet in place.
