How to treat mould on concrete floor?

We have a room attached to the garage and the flooring is concrete which currently has parts of mould, what can I do to get rid of it and help prevent it? We’re also wanting to put some kind on flooring foam mats or something so what is the best way to go about doing all of this 

we have brought a quick patch to cover and chipping or holes

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your room near the garage.

I suggest doing a bit of an investigation as to why mould grew in that spot of the floor. Mould growing on any surface is often an indication that water has settled in that spot allowing mould spores to grow unchecked. If there is a leak in that spot that must be addressed first and sorted out before you move forward with your renovation plans. The actual removal of the mould is straight forward, use an Oates Long Handle Deck Scrub Brush along with water and detergent. 

Once you've determined that there are no more water leaks, I suggest looking at Hybrid /flooring. It is 100 percent waterproof and is relatively easy to install.
