How to raise the shower floor to be wheelchair accessible?

Hi everyone,

My dad uses a wheelchair and needs to access the shower (photo below). However, the shower floor is 110mm lower than the main bathroom floor, which makes it difficult for him to use safely.

Can anyone recommend a simple and secure way to raise the shower floor by 110mm? Ideally, it should allow for proper drainage and be stable enough for a wheelchair, as well as being very quick and easy to install.

I suggest creating a platform just like in this discussion - Roll-in shower using composite decking by @Super_D. But for your situation I suggest using Ezipier 90mm x 1m Galvanised SHS Post in combination with Ekodeck composite decking. You'll need two pieces of the galvanized post laid side by side and the composite decking placed over the two posts. You'll need to use self-drilling galvanized decking screws to anchor the panels in place. I also suggest removing that small glass and aluminium panel in the shower so that the wheelchair can easily manoeuvre.
