Hi,
I have a squeaking floor board that could not be fixed from the inside. House was built in 1975. The floorboards could be either Messmate or Stringybark timber. When I went under the house to view the board itself I noticed:
1. Tiny holes on parts of the board.
2. I push into some parts of it and it was flaky, powdery and brittle.
3. No evidence of the culprit/insect.
4. All other boards are fine, only this one particular board itself (refer image)
5. Only about 30% of the board had this issue going for a length of about1.3m.
I would like to know if you think its termites/wood borer or something else.

Thanks.
Regards,
Ricky
